SEASON FINALE ON THE HORIZON FOR DAO RACING HONDA AT BRANDS HATCH

DAO Racing Honda are set to travel south to Brands Hatch for the season finale of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship, with Lee Jackson and Josh Brookes aiming to round out the year on a high as they hunt down eighth place in the Championship standings, with 105 points on offer across the weekend.

After eight months of hard work and close racing, the 2026 ZYN British Superbike season is set to come to a close as the BSB paddock travels to Brands Hatch for the final round of the 2026 campaign.

Lee Jackson currently holds ninth in the Championship standings on 162 points and is just nine points shy of Danny Kent, who holds eighth spot. The Lincolnshire man has his sights firmly set on eclipsing the Yamaha rider come Sunday evening. Jackson, who has finished in the points in every race bar one in 2026, is confident that his vein of form will continue and help him achieve his best result since 2024.

Josh Brookes is also in the all-important fight for eighth place, sitting 15th on 120 points, and with increased rewards on offer throughout the final round, the Australian remains firmly in the picture. Three solid results across the weekend, at one of his favourite circuits on the calendar, will see Brookes climb the Championship table.

Brands Hatch, which is the traditional setting for the final round, is set in the heart of the Kent countryside and is one of the UK’s most iconic and historic racing circuits, with a motorsport history dating back to 1926. With 105 points left to play for over the final three races, the action is set to be packed full of entertainment and is certainly one that shouldn’t be missed.

Josh Brookes: “As we head to the final round at Brands Hatch I’m going to give it all I have got from the start to the very end, exactly as I have done all year long. I can’t really put my finger on exactly why we haven’t been able to turn in any good results this year, but it’s not from a lack of trying.

“My attitude is going to be no different heading into the final round, I’ll be putting in everything to try and finish the year out as strong as possible.”

Lee Jackson: “I can’t believe we are heading into the final round already, I feel like this season has flown by and I feel like there is a lot out there that I can achieve at Brands Hatch. I don’t feel like we have got stuck in this year, I do feel like we have just battled our way through. I am looking forward to getting back to Brands Hatch and building on where we left off earlier on in the year and I hope we can be fighting in the top ten.

“I feel we showed a lot of promise at Donington Park and I feel we should be in the battle to end the year, I believe I have been the second best Honda all year, and that isn’t something to be proud of, but it’s a small win we can take some positives from and hopefully this weekend we can embrace those positives and round the year off on a high.”

Team manager Jonny Bagnall: “It’s crazy to think that the final round is now upon us, the season has well and truly flown by, however as a team we’re prepared to round out the year as best we possibly can at Brands Hatch.

“Overall this season hasn’t been what we envisioned at the beginning of the year, although we have given 100% every weekend it’s fair to say it’s a challenge for us in 2026. Both Lee and Josh have given it everything, and I’m sure that this weekend will be no different, their commitment is unrivalled.

“Our plan is to round out this season as strongly as possible, there are 105 points up for grabs and as we all know with the final round, absolutely anything can happen.”

The weekend gets underway on Friday October 16 with two free practice sessions and pre-qualifying. Saturday will see free practice three, qualifying and race one, with race two and three on Sunday October 18.
