DAO Racing are ready to race at the penultimate round of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship at Donington Park, with Lee Jackson and Josh Brookes aiming to round out the season on a high.
Following on from a progressive weekend last time out in the Netherlands, where Lee Jackson and Josh Brookes each brought home three point-scoring results, the duo are aiming to round out their seasons in style.
Jackson, who currently sits ninth in the Championship standings on 139 points, is level with Danny Kent, who sits one place ahead of him on the leaderboard. The fight for eighth in the series is tight, with just 29 points separating eight riders, and Jackson is confident that he has what it takes, alongside his team, to secure the position.
Brookes, who is one of the eight eligible riders to claim eighth in the series, heads to Donington Park focused on achieving the best results possible to round out his 2026 season in the strongest possible fashion.
The Australian has experienced a challenging campaign this year, but the two-time British Superbike Champion is fully focused on getting back up the sharp end at the 2.49-mile Grand Prix venue.
Donington Park is one of the most historic circuits in British motorsport and the UK’s oldest operational motorsport venue, and its fast and flowing nature always provides some of the best racing that the ZYN BSB produces.

Josh Brookes: “I’m excited to return to Donington Park. The last few times we’ve been there, we have shown potential, but we’ve struggled to execute it in terms of results. On that basis, I’m keen to get there and try to put those pieces of the jigsaw together that may be able to bring more pleasing results for everyone involved.
“We’re getting close to the end of the season now, and it’s an all-important time of the year to make the most of it before the Championship is all over.”
Lee Jackson: “I’m really looking forward to getting back to Donington Park. The last time we were there, we made some good progress, and that gives me a lot of confidence heading into the weekend.
“What we’ve learnt from Cadwell and Assen will hopefully put us in a good place this weekend. We’re in a much stronger position than we were at the start of 2026, so hopefully we can have a strong weekend and be closer to the front with the DAO Racing Honda.”
Team Manager Jonny Bagnall: “We’re heading into the penultimate round of the season this weekend at Donington Park, a circuit at which we performed positively back in May and where we have had a podium in the past, so we’re heading there in high spirits.
“Since our previous visit, we have developed the package and, as a team, we feel we’re in a better place now, on both Josh and Lee’s side of the garage, and we hope that development will be on show this weekend.
“We want to round out this season in the best way. Hopefully, we can gain strong results in all three races to ensure that both Lee and Josh remain in the fight for eighth in the Championship, which is a major possibility for the two of them.”
The weekend will get underway on Friday, October 2, with two free practice sessions and pre-qualifying. Saturday will see free practice three, qualifying and the opening race take place, with a 10-minute warm-up and two races on Sunday, October 4.
