2025 STAGE IT SET. IT’S FINALLY TIME TO GO RACING!

The 2025 British Superbike season is finally upon us, marking the beginning of a new chapter for DAO Racing.

The team heads into round one at Oulton Park with a new manufacturer and a new pair of riders.

Two-time BSB champion Josh Brookes (who returns to Honda for the first time since 2010) and multiple race winner Lee Jackson were brought in to spearhead the team into its new era.

Despite the challenges that typically come with such changes, the team enjoyed a successful preseason testing programme. Both Brookes and Jackson showed good progress throughout the tests, wrapping up the preseason well within reach of the top of the time sheets.

Now heading into their first season in the all-new DOA Racing Honda set-up, the team hopes to build on the positive first impressions made throughout testing. Oulton Park has been a circuit of previous success for both riders and Honda – putting the team in a good position for a strong start to the season.

Lee Jackson, Superbike Rider #14:

‘Really looking forward to getting back racing. We’ve of course done a lot of testing in a short space of time. Yeah I’m looking forward to racing back at Oulton Park a track I really enjoy. Going into the first weekend I think we can aim for three solid finishes. We’ve got some work to do in the practice sessions, but looking forward to three solid finshes to start the year off. Ideally top five is the goal for the first weekend, but if it means settling for three top tens then that’s where we’ll be. But, I’m just looking forward to being back in the racing environment, getting my helmet on and going racing.’

Josh Brookes, Superbike Rider #25:

‘It goes without saying, everyone is excited about the opening round. The anticipation has been building for a long time now and it’s good to finally be on the door step of the beginning of the 2025 season.

Our expectations and targets will all hinge off the opening round when we set a data point that we can really evaluate the pre-season and where we hope to build from there.’

Jonny Bagnall, Team Manager:

‘It’s been a long month testing through April, we’re glad to finally be at round one, obviously looking forward to heading out on the circuit and seeing what the boys can do. We’ve showed some promise through testing, there is still a lot of work to do. We’ve made some progress in the workshop since testing here last week until now, so hopefully those improvements will show on track.’
